[ Clean-up is the best and the worst part of any mission. It's the best because you know the danger is over and it's the worst because you are stuck god-knows-where running minor errands while the logicals just give you odd looks. Enoshima's been good on the odd looks front, George has to admit. If there is anything the residents of this half-island are, it's accepting. He'd give them more credit for it, if that didn't mean they just let a bunch of aliens become part of their community. Even now, with reluctant appreciation for JF1, it just seems vaguely gross.
The morning is nice and sunny and George is thankful that the waterproof suits are no longer necessary to wear. Walking through the town towards the docks, he can see normalcy making its way back into everyone's lives already. It's hard to think that just two days ago, everyone had been evacuated.
Only when passing by the Hemmingway's charred ruins there is a looming feeling of consequence hanging in the air. George does his best to pay it no mind - guilt only slows you down. He'd been right to assume that the seaside was where he'd find Akira and it's nice to see that the man at least remains predictable in some ways. George raises his right arm and waves vaguely. ]
Yama~da! Do you have a moment?
[ Now he'd have to have one, at least. ]
